' This order shall dispose of Writ Petition No,71-R of 2000 and Writ Petition No,72-R of 2000 in both of which mutation sanctioned by the Revenue Officers have been called in question.
2. I am afraid these petitions are not maintainable in view of the pronouncement of this Court in Muhammad Iqbal v. S.A.M. Khan, Member Board of Revenue, Lahore and others (PLD 1970 Lahore 614) wherein it has been held that since mutation does not create rights, no Constitutional petition can be maintained against it.
3. Faced with the above situation, the learned counsel for the petitioner has attempted to argue that since the mutation had not been sanctioned contrary to the orders passed by this Court in the earlier round of litigation, these petition are maintainable before this Court.

This argument is not well-founded for the reason that whatever be the facts of the case, the petitioners have come against the mutation proceedings before this Court and the Constitutional petition does not lie. If the orders passed by this Court have been disobeyed the petitioners have other remedies available to them.
5. It is also pointed out by the learned counsel for the respondents that the petitioners had gone to Civil Court by filing suits which were dismissed and now according to the petitioners' learned counsel, the matter is pending is appeal. This furnishes an additional reason for non-interference in the exercise of Constitutional jurisdiction of this Court.
' Both these petitions are disposed of in the above terms.
