The Site is a free, non-commercial tool that lets users search and read reported judgments of the Pakistani courts for educational, academic and research purposes. It is not a substitute for the official law reports, nor for professional legal advice.
Nothing on the Site is legal advice, and no lawyer–client relationship is created. No judgment, extract or citation from the Site should be cited or relied upon in any court, tribunal or before any authority without first verifying it against the original, officially reported version (PLD, SCMR, CLC, YLR, MLD, PCr.LJ, PLJ, etc.). The officially reported text prevails.
Judgments of the courts are public documents. Under the Copyright Ordinance, 1962, the reproduction or publication of official/government works is addressed in section 57(q), and fair dealing for the purposes of research, private study, criticism and review is permitted under section 57. The judgments are reproduced on this Site on that basis, for those purposes.
The Site’s own software, design, layout, arrangement and any added features (such as automatic paragraph numbering and search functionality) are the property of the operator and may not be copied or reproduced for commercial purposes without permission. The names of the law reports and journals referred to are the property of their respective publishers and are used only for identification and citation.
The Site and all materials on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from error. Judgments are processed automatically and may contain OCR, formatting or numbering errors.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of the Site shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of, or in connection with, your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or any decision made or action taken in reliance on any material obtained from it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with the Site.
We may amend these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the revised Terms. To report an error in a reported judgment or to ask a question about these Terms, you may contact the operator of the Site.
