This order will dispose of Writ Petition No,13448 of 2002 and 12993 of 2002 filed by Punjab Teachers Union. According to which all the appointments on contract basis will usurp the right of promotion and they will affect the same.
2. Learned Advocate General, Punjab on instructions states that the petitioners will be treated in accordance with the rules and their promotion chances, according to the quota, will not affect the same pertaining to their cadre.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioners due to the statement made by the learned Advocate General, Punjab is satisfied and does not press this petition, which is disposed of accordingly.
