ORDER

The petition is one of the many filed almost daily in the Court by women who leave their homes and contract marriage against the wishes of their families and then seek protection against an unreal danger of threat which might not exist at all.

' The petition has been submitted to prevent any legal action to be taken against her by her family.

The purpose of filing such petitions is two-fold; firstly it is intended to bring on record a particular version of the abductee and second, of course, is to prevent a likely or impending legal action to be taken against the abductee or others. The objective stands achieved by the petitioner. But, nonetheless, the petition is disposed of in the following terms.

2. The petition does not contain proof of any harassment being caused to petitioner by the police.

The allegations are generalized in nature. However, the petitioner by means of an affidavit has submitted that she has not been abducted by anybody. She under the circumstances may retain a copy of this order and produced the same before police in case she is ever summoned by local police. In case the local police initiated any action against the petitioner, the police shall ensure that everything is done strictly in accordance with law and petitioner is not subjected to harassm ent at the wishes of certain individuals.
