' Muhammad Iqbal petitioner has filed a petition under section 561-A, Cr. P. C. For quashment of criminal proceedings pending against the petitioner under section 506/279, P. P. C. Pending in the Court of liaqa Magistrate, Sadiqabad, initiated at the instance of respondent No, 2 vide F.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that although the very story in the F. I. R. Narrated by respondent No, 2 is preposterous and is highly incredible but the fact remains that this F.
1. R. Was not an independent act of the complainant (respondent No, 2) but was motivated due to some misunderstanding which bad occurred between the petitioner and Munir Ahmad Khan, Advocate, President Bahawalpur Bar Association. Learned counsel has further submitted that the petitioner is ready to apologise in writing by making a statement before this Court and pray that his apology be accepted and proceedings be quashed.
3. 1 have recorded the statement of the petitioner as well as that of Mr. A. R. Tayyab, counsel for respondent No, 2, who has accepted the apology and has not opposed the quashment petition.
4. In view of the above, the petition is accepted and the proceedings pending against the Petitioner in the Court of ilaqa Magistrate, Sadiqabad, under section 506/279, P. P. C. Are quashed.
