MAULV1 ANWARUL HAQ, An order passed by the respondent Divisional Canal Officer had been questioned by filing the present suit by the petitioners. Alongwith the suit an application was filed for grant of temporary injunction restraining the implementation of the said order. The application was allowed by the learned Trial Court on 28.3.1988. An appeal filed by the respondents, however, was accepted by a learned Additional District Judge, Jhang who dismissed the application on 17.4.1990. This Civil Revision had been admitted to regular hearing and came up on 23.11.2000 when the learned counsel for the parties were directed to report as to whether the suit out of which this Civil Revision has arisen, is pending or not. Today it has been reported that the suit is pending.

After arguing' the matter at some length learned counsel for the respondents states that since already more than 19 years have gone by, he would not be objecting to the continuation of the stay order provided the learned Trial Court is directed to decide the suit at an early date: The request is most proper and is allowed. The Civil Revision is accordingly disposed of with the direction that the status quo be maintained till the decision of the said Civil suit. A copy of this order be immediately remitted to the learned Trial Court with the direction to take up this case which is pending before its since 1987 on a priority basis and to decide the same before 31.3.2001, even if the learned Trial Court has to proceed on day to day basis. The compliance be reported to the Deputy Registrar(J) of this Court. He order as to costs.
