' This is a suo motu revision in exercise of the powers conferred by para. 29 of the Land Reforms Regulation, 1972 and initiated in consequence of a note recorded by the Inspection Team of the Federal Land Commission.
2. The objections raised in the inspection note have been manifestly prompted by the error on the face of the village record. The present exercise is, therefore, a product of a simple error made by the village staff in transcribing the mutations. Instead of writing the correct name of the declarant I e. Nawab Ahmed Ali Khan son of Nawab Mohammad Ali Khan, they have transcribed the name in the reverse order I e. Nawab Mohammad Ali Khan son of Nawab Ahmed Ali Khan. Thus the father has been described as the son and conversely the son is shown as the father-such are the wonders of the village record.
3. I have made an exhaustive examination of the record according to which the original entry No, 1, leaf No, 11 dated before 9-7-1955 of the V-F VII of Deh 18-Dim, Taluka Sinjhoro shows the name of the declarant as "Nawab Ahmed Ali Khan son of Nawab Mohammad Ali Khan." However the subsequent Entries Nos. 43, 44 and 45 dated 15-4-71 at leaf 22 and again Entry No, 46 at leaf 23 of the same survey numbers, show the name as "Nawab Mohammad Ali Khan son of Nawab Ahmed Ali Khan." Thus the name has been transcribed in what is commonly and locally called the "Ulta Pulta" way.
4. Now that I have disentangled the legal threads of the transactions from the revenue cobwebs, the Deputy Land Commissioner is directed to have the records corrected.
6. In the light of these observations, the notice is vacated.
