One Muhammad Usman is a son of Muhammad Shafi petitioner. Muhammad Usman is required by the police Police Station City Lodhran in some criminal case. Muhammad Shafi petitioner is the father of the aforesaid Muhammad Usman. According to him he and his other family members are being harassed by the police even though they have no information about the whereabouts of Muhammad Usman. The stand of Muhammad Shafi is that he has disinherited his son Muhammad Usman due to his evil repute and bad habits Since the police Police Station City Lodhran is said to be after Muhammad Shafi petitioner and his family members he chose to file this writ petition for getting the S.H.O., Police Station City Lodhran restrained from harassing him and his family members.
2. Raj Amir, S.I./S.H.O. Police Station City Lodhran is present in the Court who has submitted the comments wherein it is narrated that police, Police Station City Lodhran is not desirous to harass the petitioner or other family members. However, it is expressed therein that Muhammad Usman is the son of Muhammad Shafi petitioner and he is required by the police in certain criminal cases.
3. Raj Amir, S.I./S.H.O. Has verbally expressed before this Court that neither he has any intention to harass nor he would harass Muhammad Shafi petitioner or other family members and that he would make every effort to arrest Muhammad Usman. In this view of the written and verbal undertaking of Raj Amir, S. I. /S. H. O. There is no need to further proceed with this writ petition.
4. Such matters are that of public interest and I am tempted to record at this stage that in the famous address known as "Khutbatul Hajjatul Wida" very kindly made by our Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) it is specifically narrated that every body shall be responsible for his own act(s). A father will not be liable/responsible for the act(s) of his son and vice versa a son will not be responsible for the act(s) of his father.
5. Since the police is not desirous to proceed against Muhammad Shafi petitioner and his other family members, this petition has borne the fruits which stands disposed of.
