1. ORDER RAJA AFRASIAB KHAN, J.- Mr. Afar, Inspector/SHO Police Station Miana (ondal is present with record and states before the Court that no offence was committed by the petitioners because they had married each other according to law. Mst. Kalsoom Akhtar states that she has voluntarily married Gulzar Ahmad on 23.2.1993. In support of plea, the petitioners have relied upon Nikahnama Annexure A'. The police officer does not dispute the validity of Nikahnama Annexure A'. The petitioners are juris and as such were competent to marry. The learned Law officer also opines that in such a situation, no offence was committed by the petitioners. This being so. The case having been registered against the petitioners on 13.2.1993 with Police Station Miana Gondal on the statement of Ghulam Rasool is declared to have been registered without lawful and of no legal consequence, It is hereby quashed.

2. This petition succeeds and is allowed with no order as to its costs.
