1. DECISION ' The appellant was employed as Assistant Purchase Inspector with respondent's establishment.
2. While at Jacobabad Wheat Stock purchased by the appellant was found damaged and unfit for human consumption. He was, therefore, served with the notice. Instead of replying to the notice the appellant absented himself without intimation with effect from 13-1-1985. He was charge-sheeted and after an ex parte enquiry his services were terminated with effect from 16-6-1986. He served a grievance notice on the management on 18-9-1993. He then filed his grievance petition on 23-10- 1993 after four months from the date of notice. The grievance application was accordingly dismissed as being barred by time. The appellant had absconded and he was not heard of for 8 long years. He could be presumed to have died. The grievance petition has been dismissed as being time-barred and I can see no reason to interfere. The appeal is accordingly dismissed.
