' The petitioner had appeared in B.Sc. Examination and failed in 1991. Then he submitted admission form for BA. Examination held in 1992 without disclosing his earlier attempting B.Sc. Examination.
This time he succeeded but the respondents did not issue the result card degree, where against the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
2. In reply, the respondents have pleaded that firstly the petitioner had not disclosed his appearance in the earlier B.Sc. Examination and secondly that he could not even appear in the later BA. Examination within the next two years.
3. After going through the comments, the relevant record and respective contentions of both the parties, I find that the petitioner had really suppressed the factum of his appearance in the B.Sc.
Examination of 1991 as he crossed column No, 11 of the Form. Under Regulation 4 of Chapter 1, Part III, of the Calendar of the University of the Punjab, the petitioner could not appear in the later BA.
Examination. Therefore, finding the aforementioned irregularities to have been committed, the petitioner's result had rightly been withheld. The writ petition has no force and is hereby dismissed.
