DECISION The appellant was working as a Turner/Fitter with the respondents. He came to be dismissed from service with effect from 8-7-1981 on the ground that he was simultaneously in the service of the Pakistan Steel Mill.
2. He alleges to have preferred an appeal before the Director-General and professes that the same was allowed but was never communicated to him. Having waited for long many years he had written to the Secretary and getting an un-favourable reply had no alternative but to send a grievance notice followed by the petition before the Labour Court.
3. The petition was dismissed on the short ground that it was barred by time, and very properly.
4. Admittedly the dismissal took place in 1981. The appellant states that there was a favourable order from the Director-General but there is not a shred of a paper; forthcoming in support thereof.
The assertion seems to be just a cock and bull story.
5. A party is not allowed to wait for the orders in appeal beyond a reasonable time. In case the delay becomes inordinate, he has to seek his remedy from the Court.
6. The fact that he chose to write a letter after a decade and got a reply for the same does not furnish a cause of action at all. The appeal is totally I unsustainable and stands dismissed. revisions by the competent authorities.
