' The petitioner appeared in Supplementary Secondary School Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Lahore, in 1993 and failed to qualify in English subject. Through this Constitutional petition a direction in the nature of writ of mandamus is sought for the grant of concessional marks as envisaged under the Board Rules.

2. Learned counsel for the respondents Mr. Shahid Waheed has placed on record Notification No,2/94 whereby in a meeting held on 4-1-1994 the Board authority decided as under:--- "To comply with the decision announced by the High Court regarding "Grant of grace marks" and should take parental action/jurisdiction to provide relief to the other students who are also affected under this category."

3. In this view of the matter the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the petitioner to approach the respondent Board with full particulars who shall decide his application within ten days. In case his case falls within the purview of the decision rendered by this Court earlier and as undertaken in the Notification the concessional marks shall be granted to him after full verification.

4. The petitioner would be at liberty to file application for the resurrection of this writ petition, if he feels dissatisfied with the outcome of his approach to the Board. The original result card be returned to the petitioner after placing photostat copy thereof on the record.
