1. On 29-4-1991, a detailed order was passed by this Court after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Advocate-General for recovery of an abducted minor girl and arresting the accused. An application has been moved by the petitioner, mother of the girl, before the Honourable Chief Justice that the aforesaid order of the Court has not been complied with by the respondents so far. Honourable Chief Justice was pleased to send the case for its disposal to this Bench on 10-8-1991. Learned Advocate-General has been heard. He states that a detailed letter has been sent by him to the Law Enforcing Agency for immediate compliance of the aforesaid order of this Court. A fresh direction is issued to the I.-G. Police for compliance of the order, dated 29-4-1991.
2. Office is further directed to send copies of the F.I.R. Alongwith copies of this order and order, dated 29-4-1991 to all the Superintendents of Police in the Province of the Punjab with a direction to take immediate action in this behalf for recovery of the girl. For further proceedings the case is adjourned to 27-8-1991. Learned Advocate-General shall also submit report in the case in the meantime after receiving information from the Police Officer concerned.
3. Mst. Iqrah Sattar aged about 4 years was abducted on 1.9-3-1990 by some unknown culprits from her house and accordingly a case under section 364-A, P.P.C. Was registered with Police Station Gowalmandi Lahore vide F.I.R. No.105, dated 20-3-1990. The abductee has not been recovered so far. This petition has been moved by the petitioner praying for a direction to be issued to the Investigating Officer to recover the abductee speedily. The Investigating Officer is present and states that hectic efforts are being made for the recovery of the abductee. However, his efforts have faded so far in the recovery of unfortunate girl. Learned Additional Advocate-General submits that a direction may be issued to the Inspector-General of Police, Punjab for constitution of a team of expert Police Officers for the recovery of the girl. In consequence the Inspector-General of police may be asked to take effective steps in tracing out the girl and arresting the accused as early as possible. He may also send copies of the F.I.R. To all the Superintendents of the Police in the Province of Punjab with a direction to trace out the whereabouts of the girl. The Investigating Officer shall submit progress report to this Court after every two weeks through learned Additional Advocate-General. With these observations, this petition stands disposed of.
