ORDER

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, Safeer Ahmed, the detenu is still in the custody of the respondent Police Officer and that he is confined somewhere else other than .The police station. In support of his plea, learned counsel has placed on record three affidavits of Muhammad Sharif, Abdul Sattar and Muhammad Safdar. The Police Officer states that Safeer Ahmed is not in his custody.

2. The Superintendent of Police Lahore City is directed to record the statement of Muhammad Saeed Shad, petitioner, and that of three other persons who have sworn affidavits before this Court.

In case he finds on the basis of evidence to be collected by him that the detenu is in the custody of respondent Police Officer, he may issue direction for registration of a case against him. With these observations, this petition is disposed of.
