' This petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 calls in question the, order of the District Collector, Lahore, dated 15th March, 1990 whereby he affirmed the order of the Arbitration Council, dated 29th October, 1989 directing the petitioner to pay maintenance to Mst. Robina Kausar respondent No,3 at the rate of Rs,2,000 per month for the period 28th April, 1987 to 27th September, 1988 when the marriage between the parties was subsisting.
2. The arguments of the learned counsel have been partly heard. They have arrived at a settlement in accordance with which the petitioner has agreed to pay the maintenance for the period 28th April, 1987 to 27th September, 1988 at the rate of Rs,1,500 instead of Rs,2,000 as directed by respondents Nos.1 and 2. This offer has been accepted to the learned counsel for respondent No,3.
' As a result of what has been stated above this petition is partly allowed and the order of the Arbitration Council is modified to the extent that the petitioner shall pay maintenance at the rate of Rs,1,500 instead of Rs,2,000 for the period 28th April, 1987 to 27th September, 1988.
