Citation1991 P Cr. L J 368
CourtLahore High Court
Case No.Criminal Revision No.127 of 1982
Date1990-05-29
Judge(s)Muhammad Munir Khan
Resultpetition dismissed

Muhammad Nawaz petitioner was tried under section 39-A of the Electricity Act and sentenced to a fine of Rs.100; in default one month's S.I. The appeal filed by him was dismissed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Multan on 3-5-1982.

2. No one has appeared for the petitioner. This petition was admitted to consider as to whether the person who lodged the F.I.R. Was authorised in the meaning of section 50 of the Electricity Act to lodge the report.

3. I have considered the matter carefully. I find that the report was lodged by S.D.O. WAPDA. Through recent amendment, the Electrical Inspector includes S.D.O. Wapda. So, the complaint riled by him was quite competent and no exception can be taken to the conviction and sentence of the petitioner.

4. For what has been said, there being no merits, the revision is dismissed.
