Liaqat Ali, the detenu, states that although no case was registered against him, yet Muhammad Saleem, A.S.I., arrested him, took him to the police station and put him behind the bar wherefrom he was recovered by the Bailiff of this Court. The Bailif report supports the statement made by the detenu. Let copy of this order alongwith the report of the Bailiff be sent to S.H.O., Police Station, Jahanian who will register case against Muhammad Saleem A.S.I. Under sections 365 and 342, P.P.C. On the basis of report marked B'. Copy of this order shall immediately be sent to Superintendent of Police, Khanewal for departmental action against the A.S.I.
2. Since the A.S.I. Had illegally detained Liaqat Ali in the police station, so he shall pay Rs.3,000 as special costs to him. He wants time to make payment.
