' In brief the facts of this case are that the petitioner slaugtercd animals in contravention of section 3(c) of West Pakistan Animal Slaughter Control Act, 1963. He was challaned. The proceedings against him were held in the Court of City Magistrate, Sargodha. The petitioner pleaded guilty to the charge. The learned Magistrate therefore, vide the judgment dated 21-9-1976 sentenced him to suffer S.I. For three months. The petitioner challenged his conviction and sentence before the learned Sessions Judge, Sargodha who vide the judgment dated 23-9-1976 dismissed the Appeal.

The conviction and sentence of the petitioner was maintained. Hence this petition.

2. 1 have heard learned counsel appearing for parties and have perused the record. The conviction of petitioner was recorded after he pleaded guilty to the charge. As such the only question involved in this case is whether the sentence awarded was legal and sufficient to meet the ends of justice.

3. The appeal of the petitioner was dismissed on 23-9-1976. This means that A the petitioner has already suffered imprisonment under the impugned judgment for about 14 days. The present revision has been placed before me for final hearing after about 12 years of recording of impugned order. It therefore, does not seem proper that the sentence of three months awarded to the petitioner should be maintained and he be directed to undergo his unexpired sentence. I, therefore, maintain his conviction but reduce his sentence to one already undergone by him. This revision is dismissed subject to the above modification.

Sentence reduced.
