1. Fazal Karim, J.--The petitioner is accused of the murder of Muhammad Azeem, a boy aged 14.

According to the F.I.R., which was made by Mushtaq, father of Muhammad Azeem deceased, the dead-body of Muhammad Azeem was found in a sugar-cane crop on 10.10.1987; nobody was named as culprit in the F.I.R. Against the petitioner the evidence is that he was last seen with the deceased near the place of incident, that he was found washing the stains of blood on his clothes and that a blood-stained weapon was recovered from him. It is state that, according to the school leaving certificate, the petitioner was born on 1 5.1976 and, according to the birth entry, the petitioner was born on 4.10.1971 Thus, according to the birth entry, the petitioner was slightly more than I6 ;it the time of the murder of Muhammad Azeem. It is maintained that the petitioner is not shown to have any motive to kill Muhammad Azeem and that the circumstantial evidence so far collected by the police is hardly sufficient to connect the petitioner with the crime. In the circumstances, I allow the petitioner to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of P.S. 20,000/- with two sureties each in the like amount to the satisfaction of tne Assistant Commissioncr/Duty Magistrate concerned.
