ORDER

Lehrasap Khan, J.- The petitioner Muhammad Safdar has been convicted under section 302 PPC and sentenced to imprisonment for life and a fine of Rs.10,000/- or in defauIt 2 years R.I.Further, ride judgment dated lst December, 1986 passed by a learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Sheikhupura.

2. Earlier, the petitioner applied for suspension of his sentence on merits of the case but his request was declined. Through the under consideration application, he has prayed to be released on bail on statutory ground. A period of more than 2 years has elapsed but his appeal has not been decided. He has thus earned a right for being released on bail on account of efflux of time exceeding 2 years.Nothing has been urged in support of an otherwise direction or to show that the petitioner does not deserve to be released on bail on statutory ground. In these circumstances, the under consideration bail application is allowed. The sentence of the petitioner is suspended and he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing of security in the sum of Rs.30,000/- with two sureties in the like amount to the satisfaction of A.C.Saddar,Sheikhupura.
