1. ' The temporary allotment of the petitioner in village Kharlanwala, Tehsil Hafizabad, District Gujranwala was cancelled by the Additional Settlement Commissioner/Chief Settlement Commissioner vide order, dated 16-12-1976. During the pendency of the cancellation proceedings the petitioner had applied for being sold the land in his possession. The above-titled Constitutional petition was filed to challenge the aforementioned order of cancellation of the allotment. During the pendency of the writ petition, the application of the petitioner for sale of the land in dispute has been accepted by the Settlement authorities and a mutation of sale in his favour has been sanctioned by A.C. II on 23-8-1978. The petitioner having got the relief, learned counsel on the instructions of the petitioner and on his own authority stated that in the circumstances he would like to withdraw this petition. This is dismissed as withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs.
