' This is an application for bail. A case is registered against the petitioner under section 161, P. P. C.
Read with section 5 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station Anti-Corruption, Multan, dated 23rd April, 1983. The offence under section 161, P. P. C. Is punishable with imprisonment upto three years and the offence under section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act is punishable with imprisonment upto seven years. In other words, the offences of which the petitioner is charged are not punishable with death or imprisonment for life or even with imprisonment upto ten years. In that view of the matter, the petitioner A is entitled to the grant of bail.

3. The petitioner is allowed interim bail subject to his furnishing security in the sum of Rs, 10,000 (Rupees ten thousand only) with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Assistant Commissioner, Multan.
4. A copy of this order should be given Dasti to the petitioner on payment of usual charges.
5. The Investigating Officer should appear alongwith the record on the date of hearing.
