Muhammad Ali Mazhar , J. The petitioner has impugned the letter dated 31.05.2018 issued by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, the predecessor of respon dent No.3 according to the amended title. In fact this letter was issued for consideration of qualification of membership in Endodonties-2017 from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
The application of the petitioner was rejected and according to the PMDC, there was no structured training for the said qualification. During the pendency , Pakistan Medical Commission Act, 2020 has been promulgated and they have also been impleaded in place of PMDC. Today the learned counsel for Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has given a proposal that the petitioner may apply afresh and his application will be considered in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations. The learned counsel for the petitioner is agreed to this proposal.
2. Let the petitioner apply afresh and his application will be considered by PMC in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations without being influen ced by the earlier decision dated 31.05.2018. The entire exercise should be completed within a period of 90 days after receiving the order . Petition is disposed of alongwith pending application.
