1. Muhammad Ali Mazhar , J. The respondent No.4 and her counsel are called absent. Learned counsel for NADRA has submitted statement today in Court in which it is stated that the status of the petitioner in the NADRA record has been modified as "Divorced" while his ex-wife namely Shahida d/o Bsheer Ahmed is still same, however , for the modification in the CNIC of petitioner`s ex-wife Ms. Shahida as per NADRA SOP her presence is required for which notice was issued to the petitioner`s ex-wife but she has not appeared. Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that all the documents with regard to confirmation of the divorce were submitted but so far no action has been taken by the NADRA. Learned counsel appearing for the NADRA has submitted that the appropriate action will be taken in accordance with law for modification after examination of the record submitted by the petitioner and fresh notice will also be issued to the respondent No.4 to cause her appearance before taking any action in this regard.
2. In view of the above statement of learned counsel for the NADRA this petition is disposed of with direction to the concerned authority that such exercise shall be completed within a period of one month.
