COMPLAINT ABOUT FAULTY SERVICES
1. This date was fixed for the arguments which have been heard and the file has been perused in the light of the arguments as such I proceed to discuss and dispose off the complaint by discussion in the following paragraphs.
2. Briefly stated the grievance of the claimant is to the effect that the amount of Rs.6000/- transmitted through fix money-order from post office Kot Addu to Lahore along with payment of Rs.150/- as charges on 20-08-2011 through receipt No.677 was not received by the addressee till the filing of the complaint. The claimant has requested for taking action against the concerned officers with request for recovery of the said amount with costs.
3. The defendant through Head Post Master has filed the written statement and requested for dismissal of the case by claiming the late payment of disputed money-order to the addressee on 14-11-2011 along with the clarification that the money-order was forwarded on the same date when the same was booked but the same was delayed at Lahore for postal confirmation.
4. I have observed from a perusal of the file in the light of the arguments of the parties that there are inherent defects in the present complaint due to which it is necessary to be returned for proper presentation after removal of defects to the effect that the complaint is not properly verified and the legal notice is not mentioned to be issued.
5. In accordance with above discussion, the complaint is hereby disposed off by return for proper presentation after removal of the defects pointed out in this order.
6. The parties are left to bear their own costs.
7. A copy of this order would be available for publishing on the internet to the website of PCPC for public disclosure and easy access of information to the consumers relating to the products and services in accordance with Rule 25 of PCPR 2009.
8. The file of this complaint is to be consigned to the record room duly page marked with proper index and after due completion and made available for issuance of attested copies and kept under safe custody till the period fixed for destruction in accordance with the Rules & Orders of Honourable Lahore High Court.
