1. M. SALEM CHAUDHRY (CHAIRMAN).-ID this case the appellant is aggrieved by the order of the Governor of Punjab rescinding his promotion to the rank of officiating Assistant Architect.
2. The promotion was rescinded on the recommendations of the Provincial Selection Board. He was promoted on 3rd February, 1977 to the rank of officiating Assistant Architect, in relaxation of the West Pakistan Buildings Department (Gazetted Architecture Posts) Recruitment Rules, 1959. The appellant has not appeared before us to press this appeal. The same is, therefore, liable to be dismissed in default. Even otherwise, we find that the appellant being the holder of officiating rank of Assistant Architect, he was liable to reversion without any notice in terms of section 11 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974. Thus the reversion; as such appears to be in accordance with the terms and conditions of service of the appellant. The appeal has, therefore, no force and is accordingly dismissed with costs.
