Submits that cheque issued in favour of the petitioner relating to his service benefits was mis- placed by the courier service. An application has been moved for issuance of duplicate cheque.
However, despite lapse of considerable period of time, the application is not being decided, in consequence of which the petitioner has not been able to receive the retirement benefits.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue a direction to Respondent No, 3 to decide the application of the petitioner (if pending)) after hearing the petitioner (if necessary) and all other concerned parties in accordance with law. The aforesaid shall be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
3. This petition is disposed of with the above direction.
