1. Grievance of the complainant is that he being a consumer of respondent/SNGPL bearing reference No. 40000310009, in August 2007 received a bill amounting to Rs. 45110 which is far in excess of the actual consumption. I have perused the record according to which Sui gas connection was provided to the complainant in the month of February 2007. Till May 2008 the consumer did not pay the consumption charges except Rs. 350/-, consequently, on May 6th 2008, the gas supply was disconnected and equipments were removed from the site. An amount charged as Rs. 49150/- as per consumption data for the period from 16.02.2007 to 06.05.2008 is outstanding against the consumer for which recovery suit has already been filed by the SNGPL in the court of Civil Judge Bhalwal District Sargodha. As per record the meter installed at the premises of the complainant was showing reading as (Previous 291000 Present 520000 and difference 229000) when it was removed from the site? The respondent is directed to charge the consumer up to the reading mentioned above only the price of the gas consumed. The Senior Billing Officer is directed to over- haul the consumer's account and submit the fresh bill after segregation excluding the late payment charges. On the payment of the outstanding due if consumer may desire, the gas connection shall be restored forthwith. With this observation the complaint is disposed off. File be consigned to record room after due completion. revisions by the competent authorities.
