Brief facts of the case are that petitioner applied to the respondents for supply of sui gas connection but they did not redress his grievance nor even they cared to issue him demand notice whereas petitioner's neighbours were favoured with gas connection in disregard of their actual turn. Hence, this petition for issuance of directions to the respondents to provide sui gas connection to the petitioner. Besides this, petitioner also prayed for recovery of suit damages of Rs.2,00,000/-.

It would be appear from record that relationship of "consumer" and "service provider" is not established between the parties as the petitioner had simply applied for providing him sui gas connection whereas respondents have yet to issue requisite demand notice to the petitioner. When all this is done, the petitioner would be entitled to get connection for supply of sui gas but this has yet to be done in this case.
4. On the other hand, the respondent party has principally got no objection to the supply of sui gas to the petitioner but only after deposit of demand notice and completion of other formalities.
5. For what has been stated above, the petition is dismissed with the observation that the respondents would see to it that provision of sui gas connection is not unduly delayed after completion of necessary formalities by the petitioner. Order accordingly.
