1. As per the contents of the complaint, launched at the instance of Professor Winston Broos Gill S/O Inayat Masih against General Manager, SNGPL etc. (herein respondents-service providers) for the allegations that complainant is consumer under respondents with reference to domestic gas meter No. MR01977185 and has been depositing monthly bills thereof regularly, however, unfortunately during month of July, 2008, the meter glass was broken down by the street kids which was duly reported to the respondents whereupon the respondents while replacing the old meter installed a new gas one but surprisingly respondents served the consumer disputed bill of month of July in sum of Rs.158,840/- which gave mental torture and financial loss to the consumer- complainant as a result of which the consumer did not deposit bill since then, nor respondents side redressed the grievance of the complainant, nor Lab report of the old meter is reported to the consumer hence, the case and claim of correction of bill and rectification of service of the respondents alongwith claim of compensation.
2. A pre-requisite notice is also given to the respondents but no response thereof, hence, this complaint.
3. Prima-facie the case falls within the domain of this Court. Thus the matter be placed before the learned Presiding Officer today, for appropriate orders.
