' This petition has been filed for direction to CDGK to make arrangements in the building or provide some provision or to give direction to the builders to keep in mind the instances of fire and to make proper arrangements for extinguishing the fire. The prayer in the petition is of general nature and is pertinent keeping in view the fire incidents which are going on now-adays.

' Mr. Zafar Ahmed, learned counsel for CDGK stated that he has filed counter-affidavit and that he on behalf of the CDGK undertakes that all arrangements for existing buildings will be made as certain policies are going on and necessary direction have also been issued. Mr. Mansoor Ahmed, Advocate for K.B.C.A, is also present in some other case. We observe that presence of CDGK in such type of matter is necessary. While accepting the explanation given by Mr. Zafar for arrangements taken in hand by the CDGK, we also direct the Karachi Building Control Authority that while approving the proposed building plan they must keep in mind that as to what arrangements have been made to combat the fire incident and make sure that proper arrangements are made. We may also observe that in case of emergency separate fire exists be provided keeping in view the height and density of the building.
