ResultN/A

1. Briefly, the claimant is the consumer of Sui Gas consumption No. 31351144859 of meter No MR 0091333 but that the defendant has got sent excessive Bill of Rs. 20150/- for the month of January 2009, out of which he has deposited an amount of Rs 7043/- that therefore, the service of the defendant is faulty/defective, he may be compensated. The defendant has contested the claim by filing his written statement.

2. Heard the arguments. Record perused.

3. From the contents of the pleadings as well as the documents on record, it appears that the Su Gas Bills for the months of December 2008/January 2009, were issued to consumer/claimant on estimated basis because the meter installed at the premises at the claimant became sticky/defective and such estimated Bill were on the bases of the department policy of average consumption of last year winter season consumption average. From the careful study of the cost pattern, its appears that the Sui Gas Bill on estimated basis for the months of December 2008/January 2009, is as per policy. It appears that the claimant has also instituted Civil Suit on same cause of action in the Civil Court of competent jurisdiction at Faisalabad.

4. For what has been discussed above no case of excessive billing has been made out by the claimant. However, the functionaries of the defendant shall now recover the impugned Bill in easy installments as per policy. The claim is disposed of accordingly. File be consigned to the record room after its due completions.
