1. ATTAUR REHMANJ. -- Mr. Anwar Mansoor Khan has filed comments on behalf of respondent No. 5 today in Court. Mr. Anwar Mansoor Khan and Mr. Qazi Khalid Ali, appearing for the Province of Sindh, stated that the cases of the affectees of Lyari Expressway Project are under process and all steps are being taken to dispose them of expeditiously under Land Acquisition Act, 1894. With reference to the present petition, they submitted, on instructions of Mr. Farhan Ghani Khan, DDO Revenue SITE, who is present in Court today, that before demolition/taking over of the properties in question, the respondents have taken photographs and movies to facilitate the Acquisition Officer to correctly assess the area and value thereof, therefore, the petitioners should not have any apprehension that their interests will be prejudiced. They further submitted that the Acquisition Officer in the case of the petitioners that once the Award is passed, (sic) petitioners to accept or proceed further in accordance with law. Mr. Anwar Mansoor Khan, on instructions, further submitted that the acquiring agency of National Highway, for whom the land has been acquired by the petitioners, has already deposited the compensation with the Land Acquisition Officer.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners is satisfied with the above statement of Mr. Anwar Mansoor Khan and the DDO and submitted that this petition may be disposed of in terms thereof. .
